This retelling of Baldur’s Gate 3 keeps the same faces and places you know, while lingering on the moments I wanted more of: relationships that are messy, nuanced, and human; deeper interactions with the people of Faerûn; and more grounded, realistic reactions to the events of the game. The story weaves in expanded D&D lore and incorporates images captured in photo mode. Romance is present, but so is genuine love between friends and found family — building upon the foundation created by Larian Studios.
Fiodhan, a druid living in Baldur’s Gate, is summoned to investigate an oil spill in the harbor and instead finds himself at the center of an alien invasion. Follow his path through the events of the game as he forms lasting bonds with an unlikely group of companions. Sit with them by the campfire. This is a grounded, character-driven thriller-romance about two people who choose a dangerous kind of love inside a violent world. There are steamy power struggles, bad decisions, a very stubborn gringa, and a cartel boss who discovers—somewhat to his surprise—that he enjoys the challenge.
